Petra’s appeal dose not only come from the outside stone view but the hidden details you discover while visiting the site such as the complicated water cannels that were carved out of stone in order to harvest water since that the area which where Petra is located suffers a lot of drought, Another hidden secret you will find is Petra theater that can approximately accommodate 8000 people, like Petra’s building most of the theater is craved out of stone, the theater is located 600m from the center of Petra it contains three section of seating accessible by passage ways and stairs for ascending and descending, the theater was processioned in a way that it has a view of most of the royal tombs, one of this royal tombs is the tomb of Aaron brother of prophet Moses .

And last but not least is little Petra, just as the name suggests Little Petra was built to be a minimized virgin of Petra the Nabateans used it as a loading dock in order to protect Petra from foreigners, just as Petra little Petra has a touch of the roman architecture and you can see that in the last remaining frescos in Jordan that decorate the inside celling of little Petra
